The other day my husband gave me his two weeks notice.
Don’t worry, he’s not running out on me. Well, not exactly… He just wanted to let me know college football would be starting in two weeks and he would pretty much be checking out for awhile. Whatever. I kind of like football, but really, hours and hours and hours of it? I don’t get it. Either way I’m sooooo excited for football to start because that always gives me that exciting feeling that fall is right around the corner! I LOVE fall. Can’t wait. Is it too early to get out my fall decor?

2 Weeks Notice
Random
I’m having a dry spell. I don’t have anything exciting to report. I think I’m done on the reviews for the Twilight series…we’ll see what happens when the movie comes out! But, here goes nothing…(literally)
We are experiencing Olympic Madness around here. Pretty much the tv is on the Olympics from about 5:00 pm to… oh, say, 1:00 am everyday. I guess we’re giving “Rock Band” a well deserved break. Go USA!
Some of our favorite events to watch are swimming, gymnastics, and diving. We watched some amazing divers a couple days ago!
As I said I havent had anything exciting happen to me lately. I’ve purchased a couple DVDs off of MadeBig.com with my coins that I earned by doing the puzzles on MadeBig.
My garden is growing, I guess thats kind of exciting. My tomatoes are getting big and almost red. I cant wait to make some BLTs for dinner with my homegrown tomatoes. I also like not having to worry whether my tomatoes will be good or bad for me cause there’s no insect spray or anything harmful put on them.
Breaking Dawn (yet again)
Sara brought up a point that I haven’t thought of why the younger readers (in their teens) didnt like this book as much as the others. She said that because Bella became a mother and was given more responsibilty teenagers didnt like it as much. I think they wanted it to be full of romance without the added worry about Bella having a baby to worry about. I was so excited when she got pregnant though. I was scared for her at first and didnt like Rosalie (I thought she would take the baby away from Bella and let Bella die) but in the end I did like Rosalie.
I also think another reason it wasnt as loved among teens would be because Jacob imprinted on Renesme, I think teens (not all teens) thought that, that was weird (it kind of was) I know when I read that I had to read it a few times and was thinking what, what happened, that is so crazy! I did like it though.
One thing about the book that I didnt like was how Bella started shortening Jaspers and Emmetts and Rosalies names. She didnt shorten their names in the first 3 books and it wasnt like she wasnt close to them in the other books. I can see why she shortened Rosalies name to Rose because they had grown closer because of the baby. But for the 2 boys that didnt make much sense to me. The writing style was a little different then the 3 books prior. But all in all I really did like it.
Breaking Dawn Review!
Ok so I finished reading Breaking Dawn a couple days ago. It was so good, so I read a bunch of different chapters twice because I loved it so much! I’m not going to give out any spoilers, I agree with Stephenie that you have to read it to find out what happens otherwise it will ruin the whole book. I am planning on reading it all through again (this time a little slower) to pick up parts that I’m sure I missed. I am hoping to start it again from the beginning tomorrow on the drive up to a family reunion that I’m going to. (it will be a 3-4 hour drive).
Anyways I am also super excited for the Twilight movie that will be coming out in December…I might go down to Arizona to see it with my sisters who are also share my obsession for Twilight!
Something else that’s new with me is that I just bought some socks and a shirt off of MadeBig with the coins that I got from playing the fun games. (I highly recommend it) There is a ton of stuff that you can get from the marketplace on that site. It’s so cool.
Well I’ll post a blog sometime next week. Sorry about not blogging for a week. I will be better! I promise!
Blind Man In Texas
There once was a blind man who decided to visit Texas. When he arrived on the plane, he felt the seats and said, “Wow, these seats are big!” The person next to him answered, “Everything is big in Texas.” When he finally arrived in Texas, he decided to visit a bar. Upon arriving in the bar, he ordered a beer and got a mug placed between his hands. He exclaimed, “Wow these mugs are big!” The bartender replied, “Everything is big in Texas.” After a couple of beers, the blind man asked
the bartender where the bathroom was located. The bartender replied, “Second door to the right.” The blind man headed for the bathroom, but accidentally tripped over and skipped the second door. Instead, he entered the third door, which lead to the swimming pool and fell into the pool by accident. Scared to death, the blind man started shouting, “Don’t flush, don’t flush!”
